Kisida Kyodan & The Akeboshi RocketsKisida Kyodan & The Akeboshi Rockets was formed in 2007 by membersof Kisida Kyodan, a doujin music circle founded by Kisida in 2005 forarranging Touhou Project music and creating original songs.The band was originally formed to perform at the Touhou live event“Flowering Night,” but after releasing their first album,Gensou Jihen, theydecided to continue their activities as a full-time band.They made their major debut with “HIGHSCHOOL OF THE DEAD,” theopening theme for the TV animeHighschool of the Dead.Since then, they have performed numerous anime theme songs, includingforStrike the Blood,GATE, andA Certain Scientific Railgun T. Whilecontinuing their roots in doujin music culture, the band has built a stronginternational fanbase through their powerful live performances anddistinctive rock sound.
